Yeast infections in the human body are due to an outbreak of the Candida albicans species of yeast which is also a type of fungus. Not only adults can be infected with yeast, but children can be too. This yeast usually lives with the other probiotic bacteria all throughout the body. Moist, warm, and dark areas are what they prefer.
A child’s yeast infection can be stiffled if the mother commonly used the breastfeeding process when her children were babies. The colostrum is passed on to the baby while breastfeeding and helps transfer the natural antibodies to the infant. The immune system of the baby is already decreased right after birth. Oral cavity infections, or thrush, are also symptoms of a children's yeast infection. One indicator of thrush is a white film over the oral cavity, especially the tongue. Bleeding and ulcer formation may occur if you try to wipe the white areas off. Red splotches in the mouth may also accompany it. Bad breath, or halitosis, is also a common occurrence.
Sometimes even an infant will be infected by a yeast infection. One indication is reoccuring diaper rash and colic that lasts more than three months.
Other children yeast infection symptoms include hives, eczema, chronic ear infections, and digestive problems often resulting in bloating and diarrhea. If a medial doctor gives you antibiotics, it is possible that the yeast infection could get worse.
Additional children yeast infection symptoms include a craving for sweets, reoccurrent headaches, a persistant cough, and nasal congestion. If your child has been diagnosed as being hyperactive, he may also be suffering from a children yeast infection. More symptoms include fatigue, depression, learning disabilities, and a short attention span.
A child's yeast infection will often cause other chronic conditions in the body,especially the ears.
